ECG and Holter tests a
In Visegrádi40 Private practice
Early detection of cardiovascular problems is key to maintaining good health. In our private clinic, EKG (electrocardiography) and Holter monitoring performed with the most modern devices help with accurate diagnosis and the development of personalized treatment.
EKG examination
An EKG is a quick and painless examination method that records the electrical activity of the heart. Electrodes are placed on the chest, wrists and ankles and provide an accurate picture of the heart rhythm and the state of the heart in a few minutes. An EKG helps detect abnormalities such as heart rhythm disorders, heart muscle damage, or oxygen-deficient conditions.
24-hour and 72-hour Holter monitoring
Holter monitoring is a longer-term version of the EKG in which the patient wears a small, portable device for 24 or 72 hours. This continuously records the electrical signals of the heart, thus providing the opportunity to detect rare cardiac arrhythmias, deviations during exercise or fluctuations in blood pressure. During the examination, the patient can move freely and carry out his normal daily activities, while continuous data is collected on the functioning of the heart.
When should you apply for an EKG test?
ECG and Holter tests are recommended for complaints such as palpitations, chest pain, dizziness or undue fatigue. These tests help the doctor to establish an accurate diagnosis and contribute to the development of an appropriate treatment plan.
You can read a detailed description of the importance and procedure of ECG examinations in our GOOD TO KNOW section.
