When should you see a radiologist?

At Visegrádi40 Private Practice, our radiologists perform special ultrasound examinations and make a diagnosis based on the results. Recommendations are made regarding possible further tests and treatment. Structural deviations of the organs can be mapped with ultrasound examinations.

You can make an appointment for the following examinations in private clinics:
  • Structural ultrasound examination of the liver

  • Ultrasound examination of the thyroid and salivary glands

  • Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound examination

  • Targeted ultrasound examination of abdominal wall hernia and inguinal hernia

  • Duplex doppler ultrasound examination of limb venous vessels

  • Duplex doppler ultrasound examination of carotid arteries

  • Soft tissue ultrasound examination

  • Complex neck ultrasound examination (thyroid gland, salivary gland and blood vessels (carotid))

  • Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound with examination of the hernial gates

How does the ultrasound examination take place?

The ultrasound examination is a gentle, painless procedure that can be used to detect internal medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, urology, gynecology, joint and blood vessel problems.   The examination itself is completely independent of age group, it can be performed on anyone, pregnancy is not an exclusion factor. Its big advantage is that it provides a fast, easily accessible, high-resolution, detailed image.

The test usually takes 15-25 minutes, is painless, free of ionizing radiation and does not involve any complications. After the ultrasound examination, the findings will be issued a few minutes later.
