How Does an Ultrasound Examination Work?
Ultrasound is a gentle, painless procedure used to detect internal medical issues across various fields such as internal medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, urology, gynecology, joint issues, and vascular problems. The examination can be performed on anyone, regardless of age, and pregnancy is not a contraindication. Its advantages include speed, accessibility, and the ability to provide high-resolution, detailed images.
The examination usually takes about 15 minutes, is pain-free, and involves no ionizing radiation or complications. The results will be uploaded to the EESZT (Electronic Health Record System) within 1 business day after the exam.
